Small Text Unreadable in IE6 viewed in 1024x768 after nvidia display driver update

After updating Geforce2 MX400 display adapter with NVIDIA Drivers version 41.09 WIN2K_XP in Windows 2000, smaller fonts and submittal boxes became unreadable in 1024x768 only in Internet Explorer, version 6.0.2800.1106 SP1
I tried the following things to repair the problem:
Complete removal and reinstallation of previous video drivers that do not have this issue. This included
a complete registry sweep and manual removal of driver files left by the uninstaller.

complete reinstallation of Internet Explorer and re-servicepack

I'm not sure what else to try. I know that I can't completely remove Internet Explorer to do a completely clean reinstall.

Have I missed a switch in IE's advanced configuration?

This is not a hardware issue because I dual boot this client machine with WIN98 and using the same version of WIN98 drivers this problem does not exist.

FootNote: This driver version (NVIDIA 41.09 WIN2K_XP) also caused issues with the composite video output. When pumping a video signal to the television, most video formats would display properly on the svga monitor but simultaneously display a black screen on the television. This problem did not exist previous to the driver update. Though this issue was resolved by the removal and reinstallion of the drivers.

Any suggestions on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
