default folder view in outlook xp?

hi there,

i'd like to set a default volder view (with specific types of columns, ie
"to", "date sent", "date received", etc) so that when i create a new folder,
these columns are already there and I do not need to set up each new folder
separately. is this possible in outlook 2002?
Any help would be appreciated!

In one folder set up the view as you want it. Then in
View\Current View\Define Views
choose Copy.

give it a name (myView for this example)
Choose "All <type> Folders"

now when you create a new folder you can just go to the view menu and choose myView and all the setting will activate.

To my knowlage there is NO way to have your myView automatically be assigned to a new folder.
