i have an application develop using VB6 & crystal report active designer. i have set some parameter in the report using the approach as below:

                '********************
                'Set report parameter
                '********************
                Dim CRXParamDefs As CRAXDRT.ParameterFieldDefinitions
                Dim CRXParamDef As CRAXDRT.ParameterFieldDefinition

                Set CRXParamDefs = RptInvT.ParameterFields

                    For Each CRXParamDef In CRXParamDefs

                        With CRXParamDef
                            Select Case .ParameterFieldName

                                Case "paramAdd1"
                                .SetCurrentValue pAdd1

                                Case "paramAdd2"
                                .SetCurrentValue pAdd2

                                Case "paramAdd3"
                                .SetCurrentValue pAdd3

                                Case "paramAdd4"
                                .SetCurrentValue pAdd4

                                Case "paramInstr1"
                                .SetCurrentValue pInstr1

                                Case "paramInstr2"
                                .SetCurrentValue pInstr2

                                Case "paramInstr3"
                                .SetCurrentValue pInstr3

                                Case "paramInstr4"
                                .SetCurrentValue pInstr4

                            End Select

                        End With
                    Next
                '************************
                'End Set report parameter
                '************************

Do you mean on the report?  Parameters don't have to appear on the report.

If you have put the on the report you should be able to FORMAT the field where suppress is an option.

Are you referring to in the VB program?  If so what value will you pass for a suppressed parameter?

I am still not clear where you want to suppress the parameters.

Do you mean you don't want to have to pass the parameter?
