hello,
Am trying to preview reports using crystal report viewer control 9.0.Astonishingly i find that the destination parameter for the export functionality is limited to disk file. When i used the automation server the export functionality hade few more options for destination like
1.Application
2.Mapi etc
also the format options were also more,
Can anybody tell me why these options are missing when i use the viewer 9.0 control?

thanks in advance

The options available are controlled by the dlls you loaded with Crystal.  Did you load all the export options?

ye i did , i have got crystal 9.0 installed in my system and when i preview the report in using crystal application is displays the xtra options for destination and format. It works perfect , so i dun think there is a problem with the dlls.

But these xtra options have a yellow icon preceeding them:(
But when use the viewer control these options are not displayed.
I had look at the dlls as well

u2dapp.dll

BINGO , thnx... i was having these dlls but was not of current versions. The version of dlls were different.

To solve this i installed the crystal reports 9.0 with these features enabled.

The Yellow icons were conveying that these features are supported by crystal reports but not installed.
Thanks mimcc

Glad I could help.  The usual problem with not being able to export is not having the dlls.  Nice to know it also happens when they are the wrong version.
