Hi All,

I'm getting a strange error in an "OK" dialog pop-up box on our web server, as follows:

inetinfo.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point ?HTMLEscapeW@@YGXPBGAAVCVirtualString@@K@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library QUERY.dll

We are running IIS 4 on a WinNT machine. The web server is hosting an ASP-based virtual site.

When the dialog box appears I cannot navigate from one page to the next. It just hangs when you try. As soon as you OK out of the error box the next page loads instantly. The error occurs regularly but sometimes not for hours.

Our pages use the POST method and sometimes querystring variables are passed from one page to the next. We use ASP and VBScript.

Has anyone come across this error? I fear I may have to rebuild the web server but want to avoid doing so if possible.

Thanks.

I may have found a solution myself. Reinstalling Service Pack 6a seems to have resolved the issue.
