Oulook Rule is not forwarding messages to my pager

I created a rule to notify me via my pager when certain mail arrives.  Is there somethjing I'm missing or does something need to be setup on the Exchange Server.  Any sure fire ways of getting this done?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The place most Exchange forwarding goes awry is to verify that forwarding and NDR (non-delivery reports) are in fact allowed to be sent to the Internet.  If you create a rule to send an E-mail to, say, a Hotmail account, does that work?

If not, check the config in Exchange System Manager:
Open the "Global Settings" entry and click on "Internet Message Settings", and look for the "Default" entry.  Right click that "Default" entry and choose properties, and then click the "Advanced" tab.  Check the checkboxes in the lower half of the property sheet: You probably want all thexe boxes checked, but at the very least you want to be sure that "allow automatic replies" and "allow automatic forward" are checked.  (You might also need "Allow out of office responses" -- Exchange 5.5 used to use that setting to control Outlook Rule-generated messages.)

Hope this helps.
