Hi, I have an Outlook 2002 client that has renamed the inbox as documented in Q249750 for Outlook 2000 however the fix does not work; well at least I can get it to.
Any help will be much appreciated

First, that article doesn't seem to exist.
Second, if there is an article that says it is for OL2k it is not intended to be used in OL2002.  If it worked there it would have OL2002 in the list of products.

I guess I should have included a link
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];249750
I tried the suggestions in that article because I cannot find anything related to the 2002 version and the exact same symtonms.

I did a search for that Q number and it didn't come up.  That would be M$, I guess.
So you are trying NOT to rename the inbox?  I took it as the opposite, that you wanted to rename it.  I will see what I can do.

I don't see any indication that it happens with OL2002.  Have you tried a Detect And Repair?

Hi Slink9,
The short story is if you delete a single instance of a recurring appointment Outlook can rename your Inbox to the subject name of the appointment.  In my case my client has an appointment call MMM(Monday Morning Meeting) she deleted one occurrence of the reoccurring meeting and now her inbox is named MMM. She would like to have it renamed back to Inbox
I have not yet tried the detect and repair but I will tomorrow.
Thanks for your help
