Is any knows which instance variable or method in sun.net.ftp.FtpClient used to control passive or active mode in transmission ?

No variable or method to control passive mode or not in sun.net.ftp.FtpClient.

Make your class become subclass of sun.net.ftp.FtpClient and use the protected method issueCommand("passive") to do this.
