Disable the Close button in a dos window

I have several program that are dos based. If it is not shut down properly it causes problems. I would like to disable the close button. I had heard that you can do it from the registry. Is it actually possible. I know that I can edit the pif and have it run in full screen, but that is to easy for someone to change.

I know about these 2 programs already.(wsh, WinTopMostENG)
I was just hoping there was a way to do it in Windows somewhere, without having to install other programs.
