Recompile

Hi all,
I have an application written in Visual Basic. But unfortunately, I lost my source code. I still have .exe file. Is it possible for me to recompile this back into VB source code? Is there any tool that can do that???

Thank you and best regards,

Nbee

You would need a decompiler, and unfortunately there is no such thing in VB.   Sorry

what version? i believe a decompiler only exists for vb 3.
I am quite certain that NO decompiler is available for vb 5.0+

if you have lost your source code by accidental disk erase
or deletion then u can go for disk recovery softwares available in market
one of the best i have seen is "OnTrack Easy Recovery"
try if this can get ur sorce code back
but to try this ur disk should be in the same position as that at the time of deletion i.e. no further data should be written to on to it
this reduces the chances of recovery of full archive or zip or files
for e.g. if u've zip of ur source code
now let say you have deleted the file accedently
still the each and every bytes of your file are there only  the info from Fat is deleted
and if u overwirte the data on same sector of disk the os will delete the previous data bytes and record new bytes so the previous data can not be read properly

best luck!!!
