Looking to use exchange for a job/ressource planning system. Found that exchange would work fine like that with users set up as ressources that automatically accept "meeting inq".
Now question is - With tons of resources, the price would end up beeing too expensive if those ressources count as users - Do one need client licences to match the number of users/ressources?

TIA

All the information about licencing can be found at: http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/Default.asp

Normally there are to methods to licence: or each server or for each Client/Connection. I'd suggest you call the microsoft office in your coutry to inform about the licencing issue, they'll know what the best way is to keep your server legal.

Device oriented, not "user" oriented..

The standard edition of Exchange 2000 is designed to meet the messaging and collaboration needs of small and medium-sized organizations. You need to purchase an Exchange 2000 CAL for each device accessing the server running Exchange 2000.
