Session ID from Delphi CGI

Hello.

We have a CGI written in Delphi. We need to retrive the sessionID from IIS. How can it be done? The application is not using cookies.

Thanks.

You application may not use cookies, but that is how IIS stores the session ID in between page views.

And IIS should set the HTTP_COOKIE environment variable before your CGI is called, so you should be able to read and parse it (using GetEnv() I believe).

There may be an easier way but I dont know it off hand.

Well, we are using the client IP as a session variable...
So that's kind of solves the problem.

Yeah in that case its just the REMOTE_ADDR environment variable.  But its not guaranteed to be unique between two people...
