Error 3155 on Internet Explorer & Outlook Express

Just had WDSL installed for our network of Macs running OS9. We use DHCP through the TCP/IP control panel. They mostly all work fine sending and receiving emails and browsing the net, using Outlook Express 4-5 and IE 5, on our ethernet network. This network also carires a lot of traffic between machines using shared folders, but we have no server. I've been having random messages on one machine, saying it cannot send and receive emails in Outlook, with the error message "A network error has occurred (-3155)". This has happened to other machines on separate days and has resolved itself overnight without me changing any settings. On this one machine, someone installed Apple CD player and the problem has since returned. I've now trashed all references to it (Application, Preferences, Extentions etc) and reset the Extensions to the same set it was on before, to no avail. The error 3155 is still coming up after numerous restarts and trashing of preferences. Any ideas anyone?

Sounds like a DHCP lease time issue. First off update to the most recent 9.x that your machines will support. Either 9.2.1 or 9.2.2. If the problem persists assign each machine a static IP and turn DHCP OFF. DHCP is a nightmare. If the problem persists, let us know and we'll go from there.
