So what do you want from apache ?
setting up a webserver i suppose.

Just ask what you want to know ...

Well, this can be done in more than one way...

The first easiest way is to make a new page and rename it to index.html. cd to the directory with the standard apache-pages.

mostly: /usr/local/www/htdocs
or: /var/www/htdocs
type:
----------------------------------
cd /usr/local/www/htdocs
----------------------------------

now type:

------------------------------------------
rm -R *
-------------------------------------------

now copy your new index.html to the old apache-dir
For example : /usr/local/www/htdocs

To do this type:
------------------------------------------------
cp index.html /usr/local/www/htdocs/index.html
------------------------------------------------

This is the easiest way...
for more info, just ask

THANX
THAT HAS WORKED YOU ARE GREAT.
Now, how do i restrict my server only to operate on the intranet.

SpurgeonCommented:
Well, then you have to close the range via ipchains...
or take out your internet-connection :)
but that has nothing to do with apache...
