I'm using Partition Magic 8.0 for my WIN2K, then when shutting down it's taken at least 2 minites. Any work around ?

If it has anything to do with PM then I am not sure what tweaks you need to apply. However try this

Shutdown Faster

Start Regedit.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control.
Click on the "Control" Folder.
Select "WaitToKillServiceTimeout"
Right click on it and select Modify.
Set it a value lower than 2000.

The problems may be due to critical update Q329170

Start > Run > gpedit.msc

In the Group Policy Editor:
Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon

In the right hand panel, double click on "Maximum retries to unload and update user profile", choose "Enabled" and set the Max. retries value to far less than its default 60. I set mine to 10 tries.

Start > Run secpol.msc

Local Policies > Security Options
Double click on Clear virtual memory pagefile when system shuts down
and if it enabled disable it or set as Not Configured.
