Im running two DOMAINS in the same BUILDING on the same subnet, Win NT and Win 2000.

The Win NT server is the WINS server.
At the moment all computers from both domains point to this server.
But, for some reason i keep getting this in the event log of the Win 2000 server!!!
----------------------------------------
Event Type:     Error
Event Source:     Wins
Event Category:     None
Event ID:     4102
Date:          21/03/2003
Time:          09:33:20
User:          N/A
Computer:     SERVER
Description:
The connection was aborted by the remote WINS. Remote WINS may not be configured to replicate with the server.
Data:
0000: 37 03 00 00 08 00 00 e0   7......à
---------------------------------------------

i did used to have two wins servers that were set up to replicate.
I have deleted the old wins of the win 2000 server and have stoped the replication options on the Win NT server.

Is it wins or a connection problem?

make sure you have checked the replication partners on all your wins servers and removed the patricular partner at BOTH ends. This error you normally get when 1 server is set to replicate but its partner is not.

Thanks for the reply!

I have checked,  wins is uninstalled from the Win 2000 server and the Win NT server has no replication partners.

I feel a reinstall of Wins coming on.

is there only 2 wins servers?

try rebooting both first before you reinstall wins.

lastly - are both wins servers on the same domain and the same lan?
