getting a table to span the entire width of a web page

i have made a 1x1 table and inserted a background image as the background color. i applied cellpad and cellspacing of 0 , as well as a border of 0. i also did left margin and margin width of 0.

HOWEVER, there is space between my table and the right edge of the page that i cannot get rid of ....how do i get rid of that space...for an example, i am trying to duplicate the greenish table that spans the width of the top of the page at emerils.com

thanks!

create a table thats 100% width without cellspcing . In the html page, choose all margins and margin widths to be 0.
