Get an anti-virus sw for Linux and how to do backup on Linux systems

Hi all,

I'm new to Linux. I've the following questions:

1) I'd like to get an anti-virus software for Linux servers & clients, either free or commercial, provided they work. If you know any and how to get them, please help.

2) I'd like to backup Web Servers and Data Base servers on Linux.
-- a) How should I do these things on Linux?
-- b) Which softwares do I need to obtain or to buy.
-- c) I've an external hard drive that has USB 2.0 connection. If I'd like to backup on this harddrive, how can I make this external hard drive work with Linux server, i.e. how to make the linux server recognize the external hard drive via the USB 2.0 port. (Notes: I already tried to connect this with Linux Server but it seems that the Linux server does not recognize it at all, even though during the system starting up, I saw something related to USB posted with OK)
-- d) Can I do "ghost" for a Linux system? I want to do this because I'd like to copy the whole hard drive to another hard drive.

Thanks a lot for any help,

1) is it for linux clients?
if yes, you don't need it, 'cause there are no viruses on any Linux ;-)
if no, most linux distroes come with a free tools
2) for backup you may use dump (ext2, ext3 only), or amanda, some distros come with Arcaia
for USB, sou just need the appropriate modules

you don't need ghost, Linux, as any Unix, comes with dd which does it all for you
