Do a search on your system for a file called scanpst.exe
Run this program and tell it to check your pst file.
If the two Outlook programs were different versions, try importing the data (to allow your current version of Outlook to convert the information.)

Hope this helps!

I have done both of these things, but when I open the folder I see nothing, but when I look at the file I see 130k of data
I have imported and I have run scanpst

130 K of data? That's not much.... Are you certain you exported correctly? Have you taken this file back to the original computer and checked to make sure you can access the information from there? (To eliminate the possibility of the file itself being empty.)
