Problem with Installing Norton Utilities 2003

Hi,

I'm trying to install Norton Systemworks 2003, and it keeps telling me that Norton Cleansweep and Utilities are already on my machine.

I had a problem when upgrading from 2002 to 2003 (I made a mistake), but was able to rid myself of the program.  Now, I can't get these two programs to reinstall, as it says they're already on my machine, and I can't find them anywhere.

I figure I should go into the registry and fix it, but I don't want to mess around with things in there.  This is of extreme importance to me, as I want to get these programs working perfectly on my machine.

If anyone can assist, I greatly appreciate it.

If you need more information, my email is commish@thepostgamereport.net (has changed since I registered).

The only Norton that shows up in the add/remove programs is Norton Internet Security.  Remember, I can't find these two programs ANYWHERE.  They're still on my system somewhere, but I can't find them.

The only thing I can think of is the registry.

Well there are links wihing those pages on how to manually remove the Norton Utilities for the system. Have you had a chance to look at those links?

Also try using on these registry cleaners. Use them cautiously.

That's what I was going to do (go into the registry).  I didn't know if that would affect anything else.

I will try everything else.  I did look at those links, but they were for going into the Control Panel, which didn't contain those programs under the Add/Remove, and since I can't find them anywhere, it'd be tough to manually uninstall them.  ; )

I'll try all of those.  Thank you for your help.

You can try installing the 2002 Cleansweep and Utilities then uninstall it again.

>>>I didn't know if that would affect anything else.

Just concentrate on anything that deals with Norton and/or Symantec
