SIS900 Compile problem

Hi, I downloaded the SIS900 Fast Ethernet driver and I followed the readme but it doesn't work

Normally it compiles sis900.c and creates a .o file, but on my linux system it doesn't create the .o file
so I can't load the module. Does anybody knows how to solve this problem?

i don't know your system, so i think i can't give you an useful answear to that.

But i was messing around with SiS chipsets too (mainly graphic chipsets), though my Laptop is full of it :)

Here're some notes:
- the sis900 isn't correctly detected by yast in which is propably the reason why you try to compile the driver(?)
- e.g. Suse has a module sis900 since Suse's v7.3
- since v8.1 all of my sis chipset (mainboard, graphics, ethernet) are detected correctly

sorry that i can't give any more hints
