InstallShield problems onTarget computer

I am using InstallShield 5.5 Professional Edition. When I used the InstallShield wizard to collect all the deployment files for build, everything works fine. But when I install the program on another computer, the target computer crashes and locks up. Why does InstallShield do this and how can I correct it?

Do you have the 32bit environment settings on? NT? 16 bit settings might crash the destination system before installing actually starts. I don't know if 16/32 bit support are both available for the same installation set, I believe not. We have both 32 bit/NT settings on, and after that we never had any problems any more...
