How to use a phonecard to call Contacts via Outlook.

hello,
I am new to using Outlook ( I have MS Office XP)
I wish to use Outlook to dial the phone for me.

I have entered a list of contacts phone numbers.
I have configured a calling card ( mine was not on the list).

My modom and phone work ok. I can make a call from the
contact list, but I do not know how to tell Outlook to use
my calling card and then call the contact.

There may also be a confusion factor regarding area code.
My area code is 360 ... some 360 calls are local and I only
dial the 7 digit phone number and do not want to use the phone
card. . Some of my contacts have a 360 area code, but it is a
long distance call so I want to use the calling card and
include the 360 area code for the contact call.

So my question is how can I select a contact in Outlook and
then have Outlook first use the calling card and then dial
the contact's area code and phone number?

sincerely, leo

Try Phone And Modem-Edit Location-Area Code Rules
There you can put area code and prefix exceptions.

hello slink9

I quess I should have left out that area code thing.

My question is how can I select a contact in Outlook and
then have Outlook first use the calling card and then dial
the contact's area code and phone number?

I can call for 4 cents per minute with the prepaid Sprint
calling card vs 10 cents per minute for instate long
distance via Qwest.

I did configure the card in Outlook, but I do not know
how to use it to dial...Outlook help just offers up info
on how to configure the card... not how to use it.

After you click New Call, look under Dialing Options and Dialing properties
