Hi,
I just wanted to know, if the said version of PowerBuilder has support for the input and handling of the data in the unicode format (specifically UTF-8). Please also tell me, if PB has a separate version for Unicode support (Like PB for unicode etc) or if there are some plug-ins/libraries that I can use with my existing installation to work with unicode.
Thanx and Regards,
Manish

Unicode database support
========================
PowerBuilder 9 provides support for Unicode databases and Unicode
data types in Adaptive Server Enterprise 12.5, Adaptive Server
Anywhere 7.x and later, and Oracle9i.

A Unicode database is a database whose character set is set to a
Unicode format (such as UTF-8, UTF-16, UCS-2, or UCS-4). All data
should be in Unicode format, and any data saved to the database
should be converted to Unicode support implicitly or explicitly.

Well, Thanks Hamdy for your comment. It does address a part of my queries, but I would also like to know how can I enter actual unicode data (let us say in Chinese or Indic)(through user input at run time in a data window control etc), or at design time (supposing I wish the title of my window to appear in Chinese).
If I try to enter data at the run time (regardless of the font I choose or the input locale of my keyboard), I can only see characters like '?'
If I try at design time then again all I see is characters of the type '?'
I tried making changes in an export file, but it seems to me that PB expects the import file to be in an ANSI format, since the import failed :(
Please advise, if you have any idea.
Regards,
Manish

I eventually got it confirmed that the said version does not really support unicode, though it supports DBCS.
