Does anyone know of an ActiveX control for displaying and controlling a powerpoint presentation in Visual Basic. I don't simply want to launch the powerpoint viewer or program, I want to be able to display the PPT on a form. I will also need to be able to read off various details about the PPT such as number of slides.<br />

Powerpoint presentations in Visual Basic

Most development for the Microsoft platform is done utilizing the technologies supported by the.NET framework. Other development is done using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for programs like Access, Excel, Word and Outlook, with PowerShell for scripting, or with SQL for large databases.

Visual Basic is Microsoft’s event-driven programming language and integrated development environment (IDE) for its Component Object Model (COM) programming model.
