Terminal Services doesn't respond after machine reset.

When I reset a windows 2000 box, and I try to log in via terminal services, i cannot connect. I have to go into the server via VNC and reset the RDP connection in order to log in via terminal services. The machine also takes an extremely long time to restart. Unfortunately, I don't have console access for boot-up, because the server is hosted. This started happening after I installed the latest windows patch for IIS. I have tried removing TS and reinstalling it, but that doesn't help. I have also reset the license inforation with the same results. Any help will be greatly appreciated, as I am all but out of options, and re-imaging the server seems like the best bet.

when you installed terminal services, did you install it in application server mode or remote administration mode?  also, what client os are you connecting from?

why do you need to reset the license information if you are using remote admin mode?  also, when you login using vnc, is the terminal services service not starting automatically?

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

terminal services is listed as starting in the services tool. sometimes i get an error of "object name not found" for term services and sometimes license logging service fails to start.

When you try and connect, which error do you receive?

"The client could not connect to the Terminal server. The server may be too busy. Try again later." No matter how long I wait, it never comes online, even though the machine is up and running. Also, I have discovered when I try to reset Term Service from Services, the buttons are greyed out and I cannot act on it.
