After Installing, W2k server has no communication with the Internet or two other computers networked.

I have installed Windows 2000 Server on a computer that is connected by a router to two other systems (2000 pro and XP pro).  I used the default settings with no services added.
Even though the router does recognize the W2k server, the W2k server has no communication with the Internet or the other two computers (likewise, the other two systems do not see the W2k server system either).
Before I installed W2k server, I had XP pro installed on the same system and it worked fine.
I have checked the W2k server system properties; the Network Identification name and workgroup are recognized by the OS.

Is there any settings or controls that can be set to remedy the problem?

Thanks,

Fred

The router does give off DHCP for internet access.  But the Gateway and DNS IP Addresses are assigned by my ISP.

Is it a DSL/Cable router..You may need to unplug the power to router and delete the NIC in the device manager.  Restart the server and plug the power back into the router.  It should find the server and work fine.
What kind of router is it?  Can you paste an ipconfig /all from your server and a working client here?
