ipconfig not showing all network adapters

I have a network adapterinstalled. I have one more virtual network adapter wriiten. I have written a .inf file. I try to install the adapter using this new .inf file (Add new hardware). Now I can see the adapter in Network Neighbourood properties. Also the adapter is bound to TCP/IP. In adapter properties I can assign IP address to the adapter. But when I run ipconfig /all, I cant see the adapter. The OS is windows 98. The same driver is working fine in windows 2000. The driver is compiled for windows 2000. I am trying to run it over 98. According to documentation(MSDN), the network driver should be binary compatible with windows 98. What can be missing?

Thanks,
Jeevan

I think, you need to run winipcfg utility - may be there you can find you second adapter.
If your on a Windows 98 machine, this is impossible to do ipconfig /all, you need to use Winipcfg and you'll have a combo box to select adapter.

I tried winipcfg. Still could not find the adapter. I doubt whether my driver is loaded or not? Am I right that the network driver written for windows 2K is binary compatible with windows 98? Is it possible that only with the .inf file, windows can put my new adapter entry into network adapters. How can I debug my driver? The main thing I want is to port the win 2000 network driver (which is working) to windows 98. So I am trying to load (install) it. I have changed .inf file. I have not changed the source code which is originally meant for win2k
 Still waiting for reply.
