I wonder if anyone can help.

I am connecting to a oracle database via php, using PHP OCI functions.  I am using OCIFetchInto to get out the field from the database via a database class.  The problem I am having is displaying CLOBS, everything else gets pulled out the database ok, but where a CLOB field is shown, I just see the text "OBJECT" displayed.

How do I return the results of a clob.

Thanks

Personally, I find OCI support in PHP to be a pain in the rear.  I highly recommend using ADODB, a database abstraction layer.  I am using it on a project right now and it's pulling CLOBs just like any other char field from 9i like a champ.  Inserts and Updates are still tricky, but hey whatcha gonna do.

You can get it here --> http://php.weblogs.com/ADODB
