I am having problems with my DG814 internet gateway. I can ping my isps dns server. And can also traceroute to www.google.co.uk. The problem im having is that every time I try to check my mail or go on to IE I get an error message saying that the dns server could not be found. Now my router was working fine a couple of days ago. I have not changed any of my settings. I have also tried all the suggestions given by my isp. Using the bt_test logon this still won't display a page. I have turned off my router for a period of 9 hours. My connection also keeps on being dropped.

My isp is plusnet.
I have the latest version of the router firmware 4.6
Any suggestions would be most helpful.

Need any more details email me at patrick@pacheco.plus.com

the bt test login checks to see if you can reach the isp gateway a failure at this point usually means no connection from your exchange to plusnets gateway try these dns addresses and these are nildrams dns servers place these in the use these dns servers part of your 814 config the reason you can ping your dns servers and do a traceroute is that your link to the dsl is there and so you can ping dns and traceroutes but because there is no route to your isp no web or anything can be made i also have the 814's 4.7rc1 release firmware if you want it email me at chelsea1@nildram.co.uk
