i have downloaded the admadmin.exe pack for outlook security.

i have followed the instructions for Customizing the 'Outlook Security Features Administrative Package' and i have created the new public folder at the root level in exchange system manager.  i can not for the life of me get outlook (2000 or XP) to see this new public folder.  All i can see is the Default public folder.

I have seen on the web that it says that Outlook 2000 can only connect to the default public folder due to the way MAPI works, but i thought that Outlook XP would be ok as this was seigned to work around the file type blocking.

I could do with some help.

Cheers.

Stewart.

ummm... I normally create Public Folders from the Outlook client.. not sure about using anything else to do it.

In Outlook.. click on the the top level folder and click "File>New>Folder" and work from there.

By the way.. I have implemented the same thing you are about to do and it does work pretty well.  Just a little cumbersome sometimes.

So Dan, did you create the Outlook Security folder in Public Folders.  It said that the folder had to be on the root level.  I will try this.  Thanks a lot.
