secure ftp from VB 6

I need to connect to a secure FTP server to exchange files via VB6, does anyone have any ideas how this can be done, I have some experience of connecting to an unsecure FTP server from VB to download antivirus updates but have never attempted secure FTP.

I know the points are a bit measly but it's all I have, I do have a whole load of points held up in unanswered questions which i can give you if you just post a note there once I've excepted your answer here.

I found a cheap VB component in the end from a site called wodSFTP it would have taken weeks to write this myself.

I've developed using the free aval version but it's pretty cheap to register.

I'll give the points to emoreau for the effort.
