Surely you cannot be serious???

sorry, but IF THAT WERE POSSIBLE (which it is NOT), then no website, anywhere would be secure, and anyone could then copy ALL of the code that defines the website.  That would be an intolerable SECURITY hole.

OH NO i really not intended to download code. i come across many web crawlers or polite spiders which will do the same thing. I would like to know that whether java supports that. I also know that using java we can do this. But the saved file will not contain images like jpegs. I would like to know a solution for this.

Take a look at:
http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-05-2000/jw-0518-offload.html
It does just what you want. I have downloaded it a year or so ago and added some advanced features, e.g. filtering, but that is a very good place to start.

Hope this answers your question.

so what you are really after is the CLIENT SIDE appearance of the Site, not the original SOURCE CODE that DEFINES the site?  because the original question sounded as though you wanted the SERVER-SIDE source code that defined the web-site.
