I found 2 ways to displaying the avi file but not using real player.

1)
<IMG DYNSRC="Video1.AVI" LOOP="1" START="fileopen" WIDTH="240" HEIGHT="180" ALT="Sample Video">

2)
<EMBED WIDTH="199" HEIGHT="255" SRC="Video1.AVI" AUTOPLAY="true" BGCOLOR="#000000" CONTROLLER="true" LOOP="palindrome"</EMBED>

or you can use hyperlink to do too

<a href="Video1.AVI">
Video1
</a>

to embed a realplayer video use:

<object classid="clsid:CFCDAA03-8BE4-11cf-B84B-0020AFBBCCFA" width="WIDTH" height="HEIGHT"  id="RVOCX">
<param name="src" value="yourfile.avi">
<param name="autostart" value="true">
<param name="controls" value="imagewindow">
<param name="console" value="video">
<embed src="yourfile.avi"  width="WIDTH" height="HEIGHT" type="audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin" autostart="true"   controls="imagewindow" console="video">
</embed>
</object>

there are a list of embeding parameters here:
