Dear Friends,

Could you  please explain me about the  "Framing No-CRC4" in the below configuration.
What is the benefit of having E1 Controller card?

==============================================
controller E1 1/0
 framing NO-CRC4
 channel-group 0 timeslots 1
 channel-group 1 timeslots 2
 channel-group 2 timeslots 3
 channel-group 3 timeslots 4
 channel-group 4 timeslots 5
==============================================
Thanks in advance
SSHibu

so you don't have to buy an external csu.

Framing depends on your circuit provider. Call them and find out what they're using. or just toggle between the two if you're not up and running... from CCO:

Loss of Frame
Complete the following steps if the receiver has loss of frame:

   1. Ensure the framing format configured on the port matches the framing format of the line. Check the framing format of the controller from the running configuration or the show controller e1 command output.

To change the framing format, use the framing {crc4 | no-crc4} command in controller configuration mode. For example:

bru-nas-03#configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
bru-nas-03(config)#controller e1
0
bru-nas-03(config-controlle)#framing crc4

   2. Try the other framing format to see if the alarm clears.
