for AT89C52 it's so easy, try to see the datasheet for AT89C52
www.atmel.com/atmel/acrobat/doc0313.pdf
dealing with RS is so clear and easy....
-define RS mode, for you it's interrupt mode
-define baudrate
-begin RS work
-for reading
*when receiving a byte, an interrupt is arised
*in interrupt service routine read the received value   from special register "SBUF"
   *reset RS port
-for writing
*write the value into a the special register "SBUF"
*in interrupt service routine reset RS port

doing these step just need the names of control registers and the suitable values, and that what you can check from the datasheet.
