Hi Jan,

I dont think so, because the Jet-SQL keywords are the same as for a memo-field, so you get only a memofield

LONGTEXT(synonym: LONGCHAR, MEMO, NOTE)

I have also experienced problems with imported hyperlinks.
If I import them to a field which is already defined as hyperlink, the field looks like a hyperlink, but inth ehyperlinkproperty, the URL is empty

therfore i use a public function to open hyperlinks from textfields

*****************
Public Function mkhyplnk(urlstr As String) As Boolean
  Dim targeturl As String
    targeturl = "http://" & urlstr
  Application.FollowHyperlink (targeturl)
End Function
****************
