LAN Connection problem?

My computer in on a domain and I use window 2K. Sometimes, it log on to window too slowly (when apply computer setting), when I unplug the lan cable, the process will be faster.

Can anyone tell me why?. I encounter this problem too many times.

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

do you have AOL 7 or above installed on your system?

When you unplug your machine from the network your computer loads the local cached version of your profile from the last time you logged on properly, by unplugging it, your cached profile and the server profile does not match, so it will copy the differences to the local cached profile, and to the server profile, which will slow it down, just leave it to logon properly, it will stop this happening in the future, also see your network admin and see if policies are applied synchronisly or asysynchronisly.
Asynchronis is faster but it has stability issues, because data might not be available/produced by the time a policy/program is called.

Hope that helps.
