Share CD on a Windows 2000 system so it can be mounted by a UNIX System

I need to install a software product on a UNIX machine in another city.  We only have 1 UNIX machine on sight and it's behind a locked door which is a pain to get into.
I would like to do one of the following:

1) Share out the CD on my WINDOWS 2000 machine to the target machine and have the target mount it.

2) Create a "virtual" cd on the target UNIX machine,TAR/ZIP the software on my W2K machine and ftp it to the target machine.

Seems like a lot to accomplish this.

In step 2 you mention FTP.  Why don't you just do like you say and ZIP & FTP the software, run a remote console to the UNIX box and unpack & install remotely?

If you need some UNIX tools for 2000, the resource kit has quite a few and there are hoards of them available online.
