It is a problem in CR and not in your approach.

Firstly when you create a new cross tba report it ALWAYS makes the Cross-tab a part of the Report Header.
And by definition Report Header gets printed only once for a Report.

It is the Page header that gets printed on every page of the report. But CR will not put Cross Tab in the Page Header.

The way to overcome this Insert a Group on a coulmn of your table which is common across the records in the table.

Suppress the Groupo Heder printing.
Paste cross tab in Group Footer.
Put the Page Number Special field in the Page Header .

Now the page number will get printed on every page.

Some times we need to print the Page number on the Vitual pages of Cross tab report. That is when each page pans horizontally. To achieve this go thru the following document in CR.

All the best.
