DSN-less connection slower than DSN connection?

Is it true that a dsn-less connection slower establishes a connection with a database on a server than a connection with dsn. If so can you explain if there is a method to fasten up the connection.

No DSNless is always faster than DSN connection. This is becuase DSN connection depending upon the type you use would store the connection string either in Registry or in a file. In both the cases whenever ou will call the connection for the first time it will have to go to the registry or to the file to get the info and then open the connection. On the other hand in DSNless connection you supply the connection string along with your opening of connection.
