I have two webservers:

I want to operate the webserver2 over webserver1/webserver2
(If I browse htp://webserver1/webserver2 the result of the http://webserver2/is seen.  I see webserver1/webserver2 as it could reside on the webserver1 instead webserver2 serves the requests of webserver1.)

My webserver1 is Apache and webserver2is IIS.

How to configure Apache to achieve this?

Solution or any hint is welcome!

What Apache version are you running (1.3.x or 2)?

You could use ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse to do this.

If you happens to be running apache 1.3 (for server1)

The following config could be used:

ProxyPass      /server2/      http://www.server2.com/
ProxyPassReverse /server2/      http://www.server2.com/

give it a shot.

The settings work fine.

The documentation says ProxyRequest can bu switched off and still can use ProxyPass. To our findings this is not true.

ProxyPass worked only if ProxyRequest is switched on. This is not documented.

I really do not have any comment on those.

Anyway, does it solve you problem?
