Problems Installing PHP

i am trying to install php4.0.17 on windows 98 and personal web server. i installed it manually as well as using the installer but both times i got error message "HTTP 500 Internal server error", when i tried to run a php file. the same thing happens with PHP3. what should i do. can any one help me???

Hi,

Check out the IIS help files, they may be set to the wrong page, which is why you are getting the error 500 message.

As for the PHP, try posting the question in http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/Web_Languages/PHP/ where you might have more joy.
