I have an Excel spreadsheet. I will bind a datasource to the spreadsheet that displays the results. If one of the fields that is returned is a value in a drop-down, how do I get that value AND the rest of the values that are in the drop-down?

I did look at this query too, but don't know the answer - sorry.

As there has been no response for a week, is it still a problem?

Can you add some more detail:

what does the excel worksheet look like?
how do you populate the cells?

I do a "get external data" which uses a view. The results that come back are what populates the cells. The values from docstatus comes from lookup tables. It looks something like this:

DocNumber    DocName    DocStatus   Typeid

22           xxx         Open       Invoice
23           yyy         Closed     Contract
24           zzz         Pending    Invoice

I have figures out a way around it. But it still would be nice to know how to do it the right way.

The docstatus column I want to be a combobox. I ended up creating a form that appears when somebody types in the docstatus column which has a dropdown of the different status. Whatever status the user chooses fills in the cell they were in.
