hi i have a dell poweredge 600sc it has 5 green pci slots i'v never really worked with this type.does anybody know if they work the same way as in can i in stall a standaed sound blaser sound card in one of them. if not what can you use them for

thanks cooper143. i tried a sound blaser card it fit in the slot the the computer wouldnt turn on. if possible could you give me a brand or type that you know would work? or could you give me the specs of the slot that i should know what to look for in a card when i go to buy one

See this article..The slots are actually a PCI-X, but most of the people have gotten a regular sound blaster to work..
