Hi

Can i get an example where i can get the time of the server queried from the Clients machines, this is a distributed application using Web Services, where a user logs in to the Application and performs some work and then logs out. I need to find the time during the client/user  has worked in. So i need the Server time so that i can find the time difference during which the client works.

If you have already coded webservices then you just need to add the procedure which accepts the request from the client for Server date time and return it from server.

If you have not done it already, you can use winsock (or other ways too.) and send the request to server to send back the current date time and use the same in your application.

hi

I am sorry i forgot to mention it.

The first solution i have already implemented, but since it has resulted in overloading the webserver as the numbers of the calls to the webserver requesting for the server increases in a large manner as the number of the users working in the system as client nodes increases.

Can u be more detailed on the implementation of the Winsock api or which function in winsock is used.
