Hi All,

I need to replicate a setup here where some date does not make it through an MS-Proxy 2. So I found and installation of MS-Proxy 2 which I installed on an Nt4,SP6 Server with IIS 2. I now configured a client to use the IP of that PC hosting the Proxy, I am prompted 3 times for a password of the hosting PC which is then followed by "Http Error 407 , 407 Proxy Authentication required."

Basicly I can not get out of the network at all when using the proxy. Somebody out there may be ever worked with Proxy 2 or is there documentation that might help?

1st Question, is the new server, the one you are trying to use, part of the same domain as the old server you are having problems with? If not that might be the problem :)

If not, check the properties on Web and Winsock Proxy (possible socks as well) go to the permissions Tab, check that the user account that you are using has got the correct permissions. If in doubt, set to maximum first, then start locking down from there, seiing as how you are testing for your self.

If this server is in a separate domain, make sure you are using an account that is on the server you are trying to use, unless you have set up a Trust?

Let me know how you get on
