when i restart my pc it gives error WINDOWS SOCKET ERROR:[11001], ON API 'ASYNC LOCKUP.

I AM USING WINDOWS98 IN MY PC AND MY PC IS CYRIXINSTED WITH 128MB RAM.WHEN EVER I RESTART MY PC IT GIVES THE ERROR WINDOWS SOCKET ERROR:[11001], ON API 'ASYNC LOCKUP WHAT SHALL I DO FOR IT. HOW CAN I REMOVE THIS ERROR ITS GIVING ME A LOTS OF TENCE AND WILL IT COST NE DAMAGE LATER PLZ LET ME KNOW THANK YOU FOR READING MY QUESTION.

Hard to say for sure, but it sounds like some startup program trying to access a host machine , possibly on the internet, whenever you start windows. Could be spyware, adware, etc.
Try this free program to scan for and remove adware and spyware.

go to start -> run -> type: msconfig
select the tab on the far right
uncheck all the items in list and reboot the machine
If the error doesn't occur, then go back into msconfig and recheck an item in the list that you want loaded at startup and reboot. continue this process until you get the error again. The last item you checked will be the error cause.
