IE's Status Bar Vanishing..
I have IE 6, running on Windows XP. It seems like every time I make a new browser, the status bar vanishes. I can get it back fairly easily, but it's getting annoying. I looked in the internet options area, but didn't see anything about 'Keep the status bar on'. Does anyone know how to make it so that IE doesn't always try to hide it?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Surely it shouldn't require that?
I have noticed the same problem with IE6 on Win XP, and it is highly annoying!

I haven't figured out a way to fix this yet but i'm experiencing the same thing... you're not alone.

i was the one who used to be annoyed because of this problem :)
Open one copy of Internet Explorer. Put the status bar on. Close Internet Explorer.
Open Internet Explorer. Is it there? If not, try a reinstall of Internet Explorer.
