Dear all,

I recently installed NT4 SP6a on my IBM 300GL with on board "Crystal Ethernet" LAN. I installed the drivers for the network card during the OS installation. When I installed the card it asked me for a serial number, however it also said that this was only required if 2 cards from the same manufacturer were installed, I only have one so I guess I don't need to put it in. In any case I don't know what the serial number is and I haven't found the "crystal ethernet" utility that can tell you what it is (this serial is different from the mac address I think).

Anyway, once NT has loaded there is a pause and then this error message comes up:

"The DHCP client could not obtain an IP address
If you want to see DHCP messages in the future, choose YES. Otherwise choose NO."

When I check the event viewer there is a DHCP error with these details:
"DHCP failed to obtain a lease for the card with network address 006094ecb32d. The following error occured:
The semaphore timeout period has expired."

Other computers on my network are working fine.

Can anyone help?
